I’ve never been happier to work on a Saturday.. I have a wonderful mentor who is not only younger than me, but extremely nice and capable.. I finished work close to 5pm but not once did I grumble.. Why should I? Everyone else came by to help with the open house even if it had nothing to do with them. Some were asked to come and help. But many others ‘happened’ to drop by to help out. That is what I call teamwork… And everyone had big smiles on their faces. Never mind that this open house is the first of many more to come… That didn’t matter.. Everyone just wanted to make this one a success…
I was all over the west side today.. Ok, north n west.. From woodlands to jurong west to bt panjang to jurong west and finally to jurong west… I’m wiped out but very happy.
I was looking forward the weekend for various reasons. The biggest was obviously because I got to meet niceguy… Due to our new work schedules, we only get to meet 2 to 3 times in a week. Compared to every night previously, this is a huge change. Needless to say, I missed him so much but had to contend with looking forward to the weekend..
Then it was off to a wedding that I’ve been waiting for a long time. A dear friend finally tied the knot. And at the wedding, it was a time of reunion too… Ex debaters and current colleagues…
Finally, it was off to cell group… We touched on ‘God will provide’… Tonight’s sharing was very meaningful… I really thank God for this cell group.. They really make a huge effort to have a different programme each week so that we can bond over various activities..
All in all, a busy but fulfilling Saturday..
